Specialised Rehabilitation and Spa Care for Children
Sanatoria Klimkovice provides specialised rehabilitation and spa treatment for children with neurological, movement and developmental conditions.
Our programmes focus on improving mobility, posture, balance, coordination, communication and everyday independence. Therapy is always adapted to the child’s age, abilities and individual needs.
We work closely with parents throughout the rehabilitation process and explain every step clearly and practically.
Conditions We Treat
Our children’s programmes are suitable for:
- Cerebral palsy
- Developmental movement disorders
- Brain injuries
- Post-inflammatory neurological conditions
- Muscle weakness and spasticity
- Speech and swallowing disorders
- Developmental speech disorders
- Psychomotor developmental delay
- Post-traumatic conditions
Spa Treatment
Spa Treatment is suitable for children who need an individually designed rehabilitation and spa programme prepared by a spa physician.
The programme includes accommodation, full board, medical examination and approximately 30–40 procedures per week. Depending on the child’s condition, treatment may include individual physiotherapy, Redcord exercise, iodine-bromine baths, hydrotherapy, massage, paraffin therapy, electrotherapy and other supportive rehabilitation procedures.
KLIM-THERAPY®
KLIM-THERAPY® is an intensive rehabilitation programme for children aged 2 – 17 with neurological movement disorders, especially cerebral palsy and other conditions affecting mobility and coordination.
The programme is based on daily intensive therapy using a special stabilising suit that helps the child practise sitting, standing and walking with better body alignment and movement control. Therapy supports muscle strength, coordination, posture and self-sufficiency in everyday activities.
Suitable for:
- Cerebral palsy
- Movement disabilities
- Hyperkinesis
- Post-stroke conditions
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
Length of stay:
28 days for the first stay, 14 days for repeated stays.
What Makes KLIM-THERAPY® Different
The programme combines several hours of daily therapy with specialised rehabilitation equipment, including the UEU therapeutic exercise system and the stabilising suit.
Supportive procedures using natural iodine-bromine brine help relax muscle stiffness, reduce spasticity and improve comfort during rehabilitation. Repeated therapy stays can further support long-term improvement in mobility and coordination.
REHA KLIM
REHA KLIM is designed for children with physical disabilities caused by cerebral palsy, traumatic injuries, post–inflammatory conditions or rheumatic diseases.
The programme combines air splints URIAS, Redcord suspension therapy and individual physiotherapy. The inflatable splints help position the limbs correctly during movement and support the learning of healthier movement patterns. Therapy can improve coordination, balance, muscle strength and fine motor skills.
Length of stay:
28–29 days.
CI Therapy
CI Therapy helps children improve the function of a weaker arm or leg by encouraging the brain to create new movement connections.
The therapy is suitable for children with cerebral palsy or weakness caused by brain injury. During upper limb therapy, the stronger arm may be temporarily supported in a splint so the weaker arm is used more actively during daily tasks such as dressing, eating or hygiene. Lower limb therapy focuses mainly on balance, coordination and walking.
Length of stay:
22–29 days.
REHA MOTION
REHA MOTION is an intensive rehabilitation programme for children with movement difficulties caused by neurological or traumatic conditions.
The programme includes individual physiotherapy in a therapeutic exercise environment, often using air splints URIAS and other specialised rehabilitation tools. Therapy focuses on improving stability, movement quality, balance, coordination and body control. It is also suitable for very young children from the age of one year.
Clinical Speech Therapy
Clinical speech therapy supports children with communication, speech, swallowing and learning difficulties.
The therapy programme is individually prepared according to the child’s diagnosis and current abilities. It may focus on speech development, pronunciation, swallowing, fluency, communication skills or support for children with autism spectrum disorders and developmental learning difficulties.
Therapy is always provided individually and includes guidance for parents so exercises can continue at home.
